Consul General Luo Linquan Attends the Lunar New Year Celebration Held at the State Office Complex in San Francisco
On February 8, 2018, Chinese Consul General to San Francisco Luo Linquan visited the State Office Complex of California in downtown San Francisco and attended the Lunar New Year Celebration co-hosted by Board Member of the State Board of Equalization Fiona Ma, State Senator Scott Wiener, California Assemblymember Phil Ting and David Chiu. Hundreds of local dignitaries and Chinese community guests attended the celebration.

In his speech, Consul General Luo said that 2018 is the year of dog, in Chinese culture, the barking of dogs resembles the sound of fortune. The Chinese Consulate General in San Francisco is willing to work together with California People in the new year to push forward the friendly exchanges and mutually beneficial cooperation between China and California to a new level.

Board Member Fiona Ma, Senator Scott Wiener, Assemblymember Phil Ting and David Chiu extended season's greetings and congratulations respectively. Local Chinese artists presented traditional Lion dances, calligraphy show, as well as songs and dances. The State Office Complex were permeated with happy atmosphere of Spring Festival.
