Deputy Consul General Ren introduced the achievement of China's economy since the opening-up and economic reform in 1978 and its latest development, including the Belt and Road Initiative. Ren emphasized that China-US trade, which has created a lot of job opportunities, tax and revenue for both countries, is critical pillar to China-US relationship. California plays a unique role in China-US trade relations, with its trade with China accounting for 26% of China-US trade volume. Ren also pointed out that China will continue to work with the United States to carry forward bilateral ties and to better benefit the two peoples and the rest of the world.
