BEIJING, Feb. 10 (Xinhuanet) -- Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing and his Vanuatu counterpart Moana Carcasses held talks Tuesday, exchanging views on bilateral relations and issues of common concern.

    Li said China-Vanuatu relations maintained good momentum and the two countries had expanded their exchanges and cooperation in various fields.

    The Chinese government believed that the two countries would boost high-level exchanges, expand cooperation in trade and economy and increase coordination and cooperation in regional and international organizations so as to push forward bilateral ties, said Li.

    Li also expounded China's stance on the Taiwan issue.

    Carcasses appreciated China's long-term assistance to Vanuatu, expecting to expand cooperation with China in such fields as tradeand economy, agriculture, fishery and tourism.

    Carcasses said Vanuatu would continue to adhere to the "one-China" policy, a key component of Vanuatu's diplomatic policy.
