On November 11, 2009, Vice Foreign Minister Wang Guangya met in Beijing with the delegates attending the first forum of presidents of national schools of administration of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states and observer states. Wang extended congratulations on the complete success of the forum. He said that the forum is an important step of implementing the consensuses reached at the SCO Yekaterinburg Summit and Prime Ministers' Meeting in Beijing and expressed hope that the forum will promote the SCO's long-term development and the traditional friendship among countries in the region. He reiterated that China expects to make joint efforts with other member states and observer states to push for more tangible achievements of SCO's pragmatic cooperation in various fields so as to benefit the people in this region. The delegates said that they will make effective use of the forum to give full play to the role of national school of administration in training civil servants, cultivating high-level management personnel and providing the governments with decision-making consultation services and make greater contributions to the economic and social development in the region. |
