During the visit, the envoys extended sympathy to the innocent victims and condemnation of the violent criminals in the July 5 incident, expressing understanding of and support for the measures taken by the autonomous region government according to law to protect the safety of the people and maintain social stability. They agreed that various undertakings in Xinjiang had scored extraordinary achievements over the past 6 decades, especially since reform and opening up, and the Chinese government had made great efforts to promote Xinjiang's development. The visit enabled them to understand Xinjiang comprehensively and objectively.
