On July 7, 2008, Assistant Foreign Minister Zhai Jun met with the delegation of the Committee on Defense and Foreign Relations of Kenyan National Assembly invited by the foreign affairs committee of the NPC. Zhai made positive remarks on the friendly and cooperative relations between China and Kenya, introduced China's reform and opening up experience over the past 3 decades, scientific concept of development, diplomatic policies and preparations for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and expressed hope that the visit of the delegation could enhance the understanding and friendship between the parliaments and people of the two countries.
