On May 12 and 13, 2007, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao exchanged congratulatory messages with Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Jansa and Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader respectively on the 15th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties. In the messages, the premiers spoke highly of the positive results scored in the relations between China and Slovenia and between China and Croatia since the establishment of diplomatic ties 15 years ago, vowing to work together to push forward bilateral ties for the benefits of their peoples.

Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi also exchanged messages of congratulations with his Slovenian and Croatian counterparts Dimitrij Rupel and Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic respectively.
