Consul General Luo pointed out that in the past year, facing complicated international situation, under the leadership of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China headed by General Secretary Xi Jinping, the Chinese people have all worked hard to overcome obstacles and have pressed ahead with a pioneering spirit. As a result, encouraging progress was made in economic structural adjustment; business startups and innovations by the general public flourished; the economy operated within an appropriate range; and people's living standards further improved. Early this month, China successfully hosted the 11th G20 Summit in the beautiful city of Hangzhou. The leaders of the major economies exchanged views extensively and reached important consensus over major issues including global economic and financial governance, international trade and investment, as well as inclusive and interconnected development. President Xi Jinping stressed that China will steadfastly deepen reforms in an all-round way, pursue an innovation-driven development strategy, promote green development, promote equity and sharing of development outcomes, and open up wider to the outside world. President Xi also put forward a five-point proposal to address global economic challenges, which once again showcased China's responsible attitude toward a global partnership for win-win cooperation.
