Chinese Consul General to San Francisco Luo Linquan meets Governor of California

On January 14, 2015, Chinese Consul General to San Francisco Luo Linquan paid a courtesy visit to Jerry Brown, Governor of the State of California, and exchanged views with him on China-California relations and their cooperation on climate change.

Consul General Luo Linquan introduced himself to Governor Brown, congratulated him on his election as the Governor of California for a fourth term. The Consul General recalled the progress made in China-California cooperation in the fields of trade, energy, environmental protection, infrastructure construction and people-to-people exchanges, expressed his appreciation for Governor Brown's leadership in this course and extended an invitation to the Governor to visit China again.

Governor Brown congratulated Consul General Luo for assuming office, and said that the cooperation between California and China has been fruitful, yielding enormous benefits for both peoples. He reiterated the importance of joint efforts by both sides to tackle climate change, saying that the cooperation between China and the U.S. could change the world.

They also exchanged views on China-U.S. sub-national cooperation.
