The Residence of Chinese Consul General in San Francisco Opens its Doors to Neighbors

On May 6, 2018, Consul General Luo Linquan and his wife Qiao Li opened the doors of their residence to the neighborhoods. More than 80 people in the neighborhood attended the event.

Consul General Luo expressed appreciation for support and understanding the neighborhood showed towards the Consulate General throughout the years. Citing "an afar off relative is not as helpful as a near neighbor", Luo expressed his willingness to be good neighbors and make new friends with his guests.

Guests had a chance to tour the garden, enjoy the performance of Zither and taste snacks of Chinese style. Guests also received gift books introducing Chinese traditional residence, garden, tea and others.

Guests thanked the couple of Consul General Luo for opening their house, and thought it a successful practice of promoting Chinese culture and enhancing communication between Chinese and American peoples.
