Chinese Deputy Consul General Ren Faqiang Attends the Chinese Fall Celebration in Dublin

On October 22nd, Chinese Deputy Consul General Ren Faqiang was invited to attend the Chinese Fall Celebration in Dublin hosted by the Dublin Chinese Association to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival and the Twin Ninth Festival. Mayor David Haubert of the City of Dublin and more than 200 local Chinese Americans attended this event.

Deputy Consul General Ren said, the Mid-Autumn Festival is a Chinese tradition to celebrate harvest and family reunion, while the Twin Ninth Festival is a tradition to show love and respect to the senior. This celebration revealed the fine tradition of the Chinese nationality for respecting the senior and cherishing the younger, and showed the happy life of local Chinese American. Mayor Haubert offered great support to this event and said he wishes to see more such events in the future.

The Sunflower Academy, Sophie's Vocal Academy, Xiaopei Chinese Dance, Inc. and many other local art groups presented marvelous cultural performances for this event.
