Chinese Deputy Consul General Ren Faqiang Introduced The Belt and Road Initiative at The Schiller Institute Bay Area Chapter

On April 15, 2017, Deputy Consul General Ren Faqiang introduced China's Belt and Road Initiative at The Schiller Institute Bay Area Chapter in Oakland. Dr. George Koo, former vice president of Committee of 100 moderated the lecture. Michael Steger, President of The Schiller Institute Bay Area Chapter, Andrey Varlamov, Deputy Consul General of the Russian Federation to San Francisco as well as other more than 40 Schiller Institute members were present.

Deputy Consul General Ren Faqiang Introduced The Belt and Road Initiative

Ren introduced solid outcomes and ongoing projects under The Belt and Road Initiative since it was proposed by President Xi Jinping in 2013. Ren emphasized that the initiative aims to improve connectivity and cooperation within the vibrant economies of Asia, Europe, Africa, Oceania and recommended the US companies to seek for opportunities under the Initiative. Ren also answered questions from the audiences.
