Chinese Consul General to San Francisco Luo Linquan meets Governor of Alaska

On March 31, 2017, Chinese Consul General to San Francisco Luo Linquan paid a courtesy visit to Bill Walker, Governor of the State of Alaska in his Anchorage Office, and exchanged views with him on China-Alaska relations.
Consul General Luo highly praised the role Alaska has played in the development of China-US relations as the first stop of the first visit to US by Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping in 1979. In recent years, remarkable progress has been made on China-Alaska cooperation.With Alaska's rich tourism resources, unique geographic position as the hub of cargo transportation between China and the US as well as its abundant energy resources, cooperation between China and Alaska has a bright future.

Governor Walker welcomed Consul General Luo to visit Alaska. He said Alaska attaches great importance to China-Alaska relations and expressed his readiness to work with Consul General Luo to further explore potentials of China-Alaska cooperation.
