Consul General Luo Linquan Attends the Lunar New Year Celebration Held at the State Office Complex in San Francisco

On February 3, 2017, Chinese Consul General to San Francisco Luo Linquan visited the State Office Complex of California in downtown San Francisco and attended the Lunar New Year Celebration hosted by California Assemblymember Phil Ting. Several hundreds of local dignitaries, overseas Chinese and Chinese compatriots, and local community guests including Chairwoman of the State Board of Equalization Fiona Ma, State Senator Scott Wiener and State Assemblymember David Chiu were present.

Consul General Luo reviewed the progress achieved in the China-US relations in 2016 in his remarks. He said, 2017 is the Year of the Rooster, which represents fidelity and punctuality in Chinese culture. The Chinese Consulate General in San Francisco is willing to work together with people from various fields in California in the Year of the Rooster, and will work harder to promote mutual-beneficail exchanges and cooperation between China and California to a higher level.

Assemblymember Phil Ting, Chairwoman Fiona Ma, Senator Scott Wiener and Assemblymember David Chiu extended season’s greetings and congratulations respectively. They all wish the relations between California and China will reap more concrete accomplishments in the year to come.

Artists of Sichuan Provincial Song and Dance Troupe from China presented to the audience splendid dances, acrobatics, songs and music instrument performances,etc.. The traditional Face Off show in Sichuan Opera attracted big applauds at the venue. Local Chinese social groups also presented to the audience traditional Dragon and Lion dances and calligraphy show. The State Office Complex were permeated with the auspicious atmosphere of festival happiness.
