Consul General Luo Linquan Holds Dumpling Event for Youth Group of Asia Society Northern California

On Feburary 1st, Chinese Consul General to San Francisco Luo Linquan hold a Dumpling Event for the Young Professional Group of Asia Society Northern California to celebrate the Chinese lunar New Year.

Luo expressed his festival greetings to all the guests at first. Luo said we Chinese believed that sharing one's happiness is much better than enjoying happiness by oneself. So on this happy occasion of Chinese New Year, he invited everyone to make dumplings and enjoy the festival together. The development of Sino-US relations taught us that the strong people-to-people friendship was always one of the pillars of this relationship.In the new year, Chinese Consulate General would be committed to bridge our two peoples and create more opportunities for people-to-people exchanges.

Eve Cary, Director for Programs of Asia Society Northern California, and Liza Strauss, Representative of the Young Professional Group also gave remarks, thanking Chinese Consulate General for providing such an opportunity for communication and understanding among young people of the two countries.

Chef Lin Song showed how to prepare the fillings, how to make dough and wrapper, and how to wrap the dumplings. All the guests had a hands-on experience then joyfully. They also ate the dumplings together.
