Deputy Consul General Ren Faqiang Attends the "OBOR" Seminar at Cal-Asia Business Council

On Feb. 19 2016, Deputy Consul General Ren Faqiang attended the “One Belt One Road” Seminar hosted by California-Asia Business Council as one of the four speakers. Subrina Chow, Director of Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office in San Francisco, Jeremy W. Potash, Executive Director of Cal-Asia Business Council, Amb. Linda Tsao Yang, former U.S. Executive Director on the Board of Directors of the Asian Development Bank, together with other elites from Bay Area business circle also attended the seminar.

DCG. Ren elaborated the historical origin, initiative background, main principles, cooperation priorities and cases of progress of OBOR in details.

OBOR, namely the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road, is an initiative raised by Chinese Government to promote the economic prosperity of the countries along the Belt and Road and regional economic cooperation, to strengthen exchanges and mutual learning between different civilizations, and to promote world peace and development.
