Consul General Wang said in his speech that after 41 years of development, China-US relations had achieved historic accomplishments in cooperation in various fields and brought enormous benefits to the two peoples, highlighting that history and facts proved that China and the US are so economically intertwined that one’s act to hurt the other will not work without hurting oneself and decoupling will end up with the cost neither side can afford. China would like to work with the US to manage differences on the basis of mutual respect and expand cooperation on the basis of mutual benefit, and ensure the sound and stable development of the relations in years to come. For that to happen, the US government should return to the fact-based and correct perception of China and the rational and pragmatic policy toward China. China and the US need to find a way of peaceful co-existence with each other and embark on a path of mutual benefit and win-win results that serves our two countries and the world.

Governor Steve Sisolak agreed with Consul General Wang Donghua on his opinion and suggestions on China-US relation. Sisolak said, the visitors Nevada attracted from China stay longer and spend more. It is extremely important that Nevada and China continue to grow the economic base that they already have. The tariffs currently are not doing good to both the US and China. But, there is always something the two sides can do in local level. Nevada want to improve the relationship with China and welcome Chinese Companies to invest more in Nevada to create more high paying jobs.
