The 6th Cross the Pacific-China Arts Festival unveiled in San Francisco

The 6th Cross Pacific-China Arts Festival was grandly opened on August 29th 2019 at the Palace of Fine Arts Theater of San Francisco. Consul General of the People's Republic of China to San Francisco, Mr. Wang Donghua, California State Assemblymember and Chair of the Arts, Entertainment, Sports, Tourism and Internet Media Committee Mr. Kansen Chu, representatives of US Senator Kamala Harris, California State Treasurer Fiona Ma, California State Assemblymember Phil. Ting, US Applied Materials President and CEO Mr. Gary E. Dickerson and guests from the San Francisco cultural, educational and business circles attended the Opening Ceremony followed by the Dance drama "Butterfly Lovers" presented by Beijing Dance Academy.
 
Consul General Mr.Wang Donghua delivered a welcome speech
Mr. Wang Donghua said in his speech that on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the US, "the 6th Cross the Pacific--China Arts Festival" has a special  significance. This festival, serving as a platform for China-US cultural and tourism exchanges, will further promote the mutual understanding, trust and friendship between Chinese and American People and will instill positive energy to the sound and stable development of China-US relations.

 California State Assemblymember and Chair of the Arts, Entertainment, Sports, Tourism and Internet Media Committee Mr. Kansen Chu gave a speech

Mr. Kansen Chu said that US-China cultural exchanges have made more Americans understand Chinese culture and have far-reaching significance. The Arts, Entertainment, Sports, Tourism and Internet Media Committee fully supports and welcomes the festival.
San Francisco Mayor London Breed, California State Treasurer Fiona Ma, and State Assemblymember Phil. Ting also sent their welcoming letter and Certificates of Recognition for the festival.
The 6th Cross Pacific-China Arts Festival organized by the Chinese Consulate-General in San Francisco, covers Chinese performing and visual arts,lectures on Chinese culture, Chinese cuisine and the demonstrations by inheritors of the Chinese intangible cultural heritage. The festival will wrap up with the acrobatic show by China Acrobatic Troupe on October 18th 2019.
