2012 Mother's Day Reception successfully held in the Consulate General of China in San Francisco

On May 19, 2012, Mrs. Gao Zhansheng hosted Mother's Day Reception in the Consulate General of the P.R.C., over two hundred guests from Bay Area attended the reception.

Mrs. Gao praised that Chinese and Chinese American women in the Bay Area have been upholding the traditional Chinese virtues of being kind and caring, hardworking and brave, and have been playing a unique role in promoting Chinese culture, building friendship among Chinese community, and making contributions to the local society. They have gained respect and affirmation from the local society and helped improve the social image of Chinese and Chinese American women in the US, which has made everyone proud of.

She expected Chinese women in the Bay Area to carry forward traditional Chinese virtues, build a more glamour image of Chinese women and draw a more splendid picture for the China-US relations.

Consul General Gao Zhansheng also addressed the reception. He expressed greetings to all lady guests in the Bay Area on behalf of the male members of the Consulate, and extended the highest respect to all mothers in the world for their selfless love for their families, and for their tremendous contributions to the social development. He expected the expansion of China-US cooperation and the peaceful reunification of China.

A dedicated greeting video made by the Consulate was played during the reception. Consuls and their families, together with artists in the Bay Area, gave a shimmering performance.
